October 6, 2022 – This morning a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony was held for the Pedro “Pete” Benavides Basketball Court Park. The new covered basketball court is approximately 100’x70’, lighted and it also includes two covered bleacher areas for spectator seating. The Pedro “Pete” Benavides Park is situated on 64 acres of land adjacent to Resaca de la Guerra. This County Park also includes other different amenities for our community to enjoy such as, a softball field, baseball field, two soccer fields, volleyball court, playground and splash pad area, picnic pavilions, BBQ areas, a one-mile Resaca frontage nature trail with two nature observation stations, a 1.5-mile walking trail with 5 integrated workout stations and a mountain bike trail currently under construction.

The CCRMA is honored to be part of the Improvement Project for the Pedro “Pete” Benavides County Park.
