The South Port Connector Road will be vital for the success of the Port of Brownsville as they try and lure business from the Space industry and the LNG plants.
The South Port Connector Road begins at SH 4 and ends in the vicinity of Ostos Road, approximately two miles long. This is an important segment that is needed for the SH 32 Project. This is a huge safety project since most of the commercial traffic will be relocated from International Boulevard to the new SH 32 and South Port Connector Road. The right of way is in place and no utility relocations will be required. The project is fully funded.
The project has already been completed.
The construction cost for the Port Connector Road is $16 Million.
