Outer Loop

The Outer Loop consists of two major projects, FM 1925 and Outer Parkway.

The FM 1925 project is being developed in partnership by the CCRMA, Hidalgo County Regional Mobility Authority and TxDOT. The 26-mile project will provide a vital connection between Hidalgo and Cameron Counties. The proposed project will link I-69C in the City of Edinburg to I-69E north of the City of Harlingen.

The Outer Parkway project will provide a new east-west travel route, improving connectivity in rural and underdeveloped areas in northeastern Cameron County. The project will extend from I-69E to General Brant Road and end near FM 1847. The 22-mile project will connect near the FM 1925 project on the west end, leading into Hidalgo County and connect to the proposed SPI 2nd Access on the east end.

Project Highlight

Both projects are integral in regional transportation planning. The entire Outer Loop road system will offer a new hurricane evacuation route and provide safe passage.
