The Cameron County Regional Mobility Authority (CCRMA) serves the residents not only of Cameron County, but the entire Rio Grande Valley (RGV) region, as well as our sister cities of Matamoros and Reynosa.<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Often referred to as \u201cthe Valley\u201d, the RGV is located on the southernmost tip of Texas along the Texas-Mexico border and Gulf Coast.<\/p>\n

With interlocal agreements with Counties, Cities and entities across the RGV, the CCRMA\u2019s service area represents almost 4 million people between the RGV, out of town visitors, and our Mexican visitors.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

With warm weather year-round, the RGV is home to over 90,000 acres of protected land, over 500 species of birds, 130 butterfly species and one of the only populations of ocelots in the U.S.1<\/sup> The Valley is known for its world class birding, barrier island and beaches, and some of the most well-preserved nature centers, state parks and wildlife refuges.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>

A quick trip to Mexico is steps away for residents of the RGV. Many natives take day trips to the Mexican border towns of Matamoros, Progreso, Reynosa, Camargo, and Miguel Aleman in the state of Tamaulipas.
